The Pool Devil, to which these socks go, is the best damn skimming device I’ve ever had in the 20 years I’ve owned a pool. And believe me I’ve owned several high priced pieces of junk made by well know manufacturers. My pool is under 3 Jacaranda, neighbors palms and some damn tree in the adjacent park, all which dump an enormous amount of debris onto the surface of my pool.

After every windy day, and it blows all the time around here, the surface of my pool looks like The Great Dismal Swamp. The Pool Devil cleans this crapola up in a four hour period of filtering. I have two of them hooked up. Simply amazing.

The odd thing is you can’t buy this device at any pool store. You can get ‘em all day long on the internet for 29 bucks or cheaper. Can’t figure that one out. It really works. I guess in a pool store, where a simple rubber gasket cost 8 bucks, and the general philosophy is if you own a pool (or it owns you) you gonna pay through the nose for pool parts. Not with the Pool Devil.

While I agree with other reviews that tout the effectiveness of the Pool Devil…but $35+ for replacement socks is just ridiculous. You could order the entire device (which comes with 2 socks) for that amount. I still have a extra sock but in an attempt to see if the pool devil could gather more debris with a larger sock we used a panty hose (just snipped off one of the legs)…and guess what? It worked great! Don’t be a suckered into shelling out big bucks for a couple of strips of nylon sewn together. Great little product…but they’re gouging consumers for this accessory. Oh yes, and you can purchase the Pool Devil for much less than Amazon’s current price elsewhere on the web.

I love the Pool Devil. You can visually see how much dirt and dead bugs it catches. The only problem I see is that when the pool shuts off, some of the dirt goes back into the pool. So remove the sock once in a while, invert it and hose off the excess dirt. This can also extend the life of a sock so you don’t have to change it so often.

These are as the original socks that came with our Pool Devil purchase. The Pool Devil itself attaches inside the pool via the water outlets circulators & use a sock on end to catch bugs & floating debris on top of the pool water as it floats by. We’ve used these things for several years before the socks need replacing & debris does not have a chance to land in bottom of the pool which keeps the pool cleaner. They do not interfere with operation of the pool. Great investment & we recommend them to all our pool friends.

Works well with the pooldevil. These things could be made a little stronger to last longer. They seem to tear pretty easy. They are however a must for the pooldevil.

I watched the ad on TV for this pooldevil and thought how wonderful. Read reviews and figured this would be great. WELL, 3 different adapters came with the pooldevil, none fit. Lowes, Home Depot nor local plumbing store and not even the pool stores had anything that would work with the pool devil for my Intex 15′ x 42″ pool.

I love the pool devil, I just wish the parts fit. I have put the two white bits together with electrical tape, but the part that attaches to the pool outtake is a nightmare. Electrical tape doesn’t do it. So far the only thing that works for more than a few days is caulk. I caulk the pieces together then tape it with electrical tape. Works for awhile.

The price on these bags is a total rip off. I buy boxes of generic nylon trouser socks and just throw them away as they get full rather than rinsing them out.

The product was fine, it just doesn’t fit our pool or any of the neighbors pools either.

Actually this is not a toy. At least my use for it is not childish! The replacement socks for the pool skimmer I bought from you, are fine and doing a good job Pity the minimal amount of chlorine I have to use in our extreme heat, does a bad number on the material and the sock has to be changed often. Still I can see optimal results.
